Nobody procrastinated better than I used to.

If there was something that needed to get done, I made sure everything else got done first, up to and including:

  • cleaning
  • playing video games
  • watching TV
  • fiddling around on social media
  • drinking alcohol
  • going for a long, long walk

… whatever kept me from doing the task I actually needed to do.

I suppose I was destined to become a journalist in my career — I needed something with the tightest deadlines possible.

But what happens when that forced structure goes away?

Is it actually possible for someone like me — a restless, creative ADHD-type — to never procrastinate?

Although I’ve gotten a lot better at staying on task and built several systems to focus my scattered mind, I do still struggle with procrastination from time to time.

Or rather, I should say that I did still struggle with procrastination from time to time.

But recently I happened upon a little mindset trick that has suddenly amped up everything in my life — my productivity, my exercise quality, my health, and my happiness.

And while I can’t say if it’ll last forever, I’m quite hopeful that I may have actually found a cure for my procrastination…
