Can you stop procrastinating today? 1 new trick works (try it)
Nobody procrastinated better than I used to.
If there was something that needed to get done, I made sure everything else got done first, up to and including:
- cleaning
- playing video games
- watching TV
- fiddling around on social media
- drinking alcohol
- going for a long, long walk
… whatever kept me from doing the task I actually needed to do.
I suppose I was destined to become a journalist in my career — I needed something with the tightest deadlines possible.
But what happens when that forced structure goes away?
Is it actually possible for someone like me — a restless, creative ADHD-type — to never procrastinate?
Although I’ve gotten a lot better at staying on task and built several systems to focus my scattered mind, I do still struggle with procrastination from time to time.
Or rather, I should say that I did still struggle with procrastination from time to time.
But recently I happened upon a little mindset trick that has suddenly amped up everything in my life — my productivity, my exercise quality, my health, and my happiness.
And while I can’t say if it’ll last forever, I’m quite hopeful that I may have actually found a cure for my procrastination…
