I did worse than that. I was lucky there was nothing going on so I wasn't really spending anything, but that money would make a big difference now.

Having said that, had I not lost that money gambling I wouldn't have quit drinking and started writing and made that back and way more, so sometimes the universe produces interesting outcomes.

It was a weird time.
